What is global warming...exactly?
Global warming is the heating of Earth. Global warming is caused by the greenhouse effect: when the suns UV rays hit Earth they get absorbed and then re-radiated back to space (terrestrial radiation). But, the ozone in the stratosphere (atmospheric layer), prevents the warm air from escaping, causing the Earth to heat up. With the increase in Co2 levels and fossil fuels in the atmosphere, those get trapped by the ozone and the temperature increases. With increasing temperature, glaciers melt, sea levels increase, etc. The less we litter, the less energy we use, the less fossil fuels, the more greener, cleaner, fresher Earth. Let's step up to the plate, and make our world every so more beautiful. For a more inside look at global warming click the youtube link: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=oJAbATJCugs
